No. 7Fy. Sch. 22/2004-1895 / FARD, In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (b) & (c) of sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Orissa Marine Fishing Regulation Act, 1982 (Orissa Act-10 of 1982), the State Government having regard to the matters referred to in sub-section (2) of the said section, do hereby prohibit motorized vessels, trawlers and those using mechanized fishing techniques in ten kilometers form the following specified coast in the sea comprising the sea turtle congregation area and their buffer zones in the vicinity of the following three river mouths of Orissa coast for a period of seven months from November to May of each calendar year from the 1st November, 2005 to the 31st May, 2007:-
1. Dhamara river mouth (shortt’s island to Udabali north)
(Latitude – 87000 to 87015 & Longitude = 200 45 to 200 05)
2. Devi river mouth (Keluni Muhana to new Devi nasi island north)
(Latitude = 86015 to 86035 and Longitude = 19040 to 20005)
3. Rushikulya river mouth (South of Prayagi to north of Aryapalli)
(Latitude = 85000 to 85012 & Longitude = 19018 to 19028)

No. 1874-4-Fy.M-16/2000 (Pt.) FARD – In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Orissa Marine Fishing Regulation Act, 1982 (Orissa Act 10 of 1982), the State Government do hereby make the following rules further to amend the Orissa Marine Fishing Regulation Rules, 1983, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the “Orissa Marine Fishing Regulation (Amendment) Rules, 2005.”
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Orissa Gazette.
2. In the Orissa Marine Fishing Regulation Rules, 1983, (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 2, after clause (c) the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-
“(cc)” fishing gear” means the equipment or implement, excluding boat, to capture fishes or aquatic animals irrespective of the materials employed for fabrication;”
3. In the said rules, in rule 24, for the words ‘Additional Director of Fisheries; the words ‘Director of Fisheries’ shall be substituted.
4. In the said rules, in form VI, for the district Cuttack appearing in Column- (1) and the entries made against it the following shall be substituted, namely:-
“Jagatsinghpur Paradeep Jagatsinghpur district fromHansua 450 10 (OS) river mouth southwards till Harishpurgarh (North Devi river 40 (DS)”
