A. (2) FISH SEED HATCHERY
i) Brief content of the scheme:
Quality fish seed is one of the key inputs for successful fish farming. Quality fish seed are provided from the hatcheries of the state Government fish farms and OPDC hatcheries. The state is not self- sufficient as regards to quality seed production and supply. Hence there is ultimate need of fish seed Hatchery for production of fish seed at private sector. This project provides healthy profit to the pisciculturists.

iii) Other support (Training):

Training for establishment of operation of freshwater fish seed hatchery can be organized training by the FFDAs with provision of stipend.

However, advance level of training on hatchery operation and management can be availed from CIFA with course feed as stipulated by CIFA.
iv) Eligibility:

Educated & Unemployed youth.

Having clear ROR on proposed project land.

Having capacity to provide margin money and mortgage for bank finance.

Should not be a defaulter to any kind of loan.
v) Application Format:
Can be applied in plain paper with self bio-data, particulars of land on which the project is proposed to be established.
vi) Procedure for submission and approval of application:
The application can be submitted to the F.E.O of the concerned block or to the Dist. Level Fisheries officer with following documents.

Land records.

Source/ availability of water.

Soil & water testing reports.

Willingness of financing bank.
1. Plan, estimate and feasibility report to be prepared by the FFDA cell of the Dist. Fishery office. 2. Proposal to be submitted to the financing bank in the area of operation for sanction of loan. 3. Bank will study the feasibility by their technical officer and examine land documents etc. 4. On completion of the project the subsidy can be released from the FFDA as per Government of India guidelines.
